Prove that the emerald belongs to a girl with her signature smile genuine BFF Julia Roberts was accompanied by only “extras” as she celebrated her collaboration with Chopard at the famous Chateau Marmont.
Julia called it a “fun” and “exciting” night, and was joined by the legendary Elton John.
Julia, Chopard’s global ambassador, has designed a dazzling piece of jewelry cut from a 6,225-carat Insof emerald.
Roberts, who is known for always bringing glamor to the red carpet, said she had a lot of fun co-designing the emerald jewelry with the company’s co-president and artistic director, Caroline Scheufele.
she said: I feel like she’s gradually moved up in rank. ”
“Caroline, this is her happy place. This is what she always does, so just having me participate a little bit was so beautiful and so much fun,” Julia added. “And I was able to see in a whole new way how everything works.”
At the intimate candlelit dinner party, Roberts lit up the room with a stunning new Chopard necklace that she helped create. While showing it off, she said: “This is something we came up with and it’s always great to wear beautiful jewelry, but I have to say I was so excited to wear it all tonight.”
She said: I see Caroline there, but I also see something different about her. I feel like that’s my little addition. ”
Her love of jewelry was inspired by one of Hollywood’s most famous style queens, Elizabeth Taylor.
She said: “When you see Elizabeth Taylor for the first time, I think you think, ‘Wow, that’s amazing.’ …Of course, you can appreciate the craftsmanship and the beauty of it. It’s so magical. ”
Julia’s college-age daughter Hazel also has her own jewelry style. “Her aesthetic is more bohemian,” Julia revealed.
However, Hazel can always raid her mother’s closet. “She can do it!” Julia said.
Roberts recently posted a loving Valentine’s Day tribute to her husband Danny, adding that she was happy to make the evening a beautiful date.
She said, “My husband just finished filming a movie, so we’re going to get in the car and go home together, so that’s going to be nice.”
