The battle between Sukuna and Yuuta (in Gojo Satoru’s body) has only just begun and could mark a major turning point in the onslaught to defeat the King of Curses. Since Sukuna took control of Megumi, the manga has seen many twists and turns. The most shocking was when Gojo, after being freed from his prison, still faced death at Sukuna’s hands after fighting a merciless battle.
Gojo’s companions took turns doing whatever they could to stop Sukuna. That’s when Yuuta came on the scene, sacrificing his humanity to protect the world from the clutches of the most sinister cursed spirits. The final edition of Jujutsu Kaisen, Chapter 262: Shinjuku Showdown with the Inhumans, Part 34, was released on June 10. However, it was unusually short, consisting of just seven pages of manga content. Since then, fans have been eager to know what happens next. But it looks like the wait will be long.

Shortly after chapter 262 was released, readers were drawn to the fact that Jujutsu Kaisen author Akutami Gege was in poor health, which was one of the reasons why the final chapter was shortened. The author later apologized in Weekly Shonen Jump, saying, “I’ve been feeling unwell and am experiencing strange symptoms. I apologize for the inconvenience I’ve caused.”
It was also announced that Jujutsu Kaisen would be on hiatus for around two weeks following Gege Akutami’s illness, and it has now been suggested that the manga series will be delayed by another week due to the author’s health condition.
According to a preview in next week’s issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, Jujutsu Kaisen will be on hiatus after issue 31.
