UFC heavyweight Jon Jones is of the opinion that Alex Pereira will win the belt rematch against Nigerian-born Israeli Adesanya on April 9.
Last year at UFC 281, Pereira won the middleweight championship with a technical knockout victory over longtime opponent Adesanya. The win shocked UFC enthusiasts and the world at large. It was a very interesting fight that featured two of the combat sports industry’s top kickboxers going head-to-head in a contest.
The Brazilian was behind on the scorecard going into Round 5, but his tenacious determination and heavy hands allowed him to snatch victory from his opponents.

Pereira’s victory over Israel Adesanya resulted in a 3-0 advantage in the unofficial head-to-head. This comes after Pereira had previously won two kickboxing bouts against Nigerian-New Zealand fighters.
In an interview with MMA Junkie, Jones said he didn’t expect a different outcome the second time because he believes the Brazilian has Adesanya’s “number.”
