After the initial success of John Wick, it was only natural that the series would expand. But rather than limit themselves to movies, the filmmakers decided to make the first John Wick spin-off in the form of the TV show The Continental. First announced in 2017, the show is a prequel to the series, with Kirk Ward and Greg Coolidge serving as showrunners, and Chad Stahelski and writer Derek Kolstad serving as executive producers. The show is also the first story to focus entirely on other parts of the world, not just Wick.

So what is it about?
Continental, as the name suggests, will focus on High Table, the dark side of the John Wick hotel chain and assassin universe. The story is set in 1970s New York and tells the story of a young Winston. Through this character, the show highlights how the mafia gradually became a force in the city and made the city a trashist for a decade.

Who are you in the cast?
Colin Woodell plays Winston (played by Ian McShane in the film) and Katie McGrath stars as the judge. Charon, Uncle Charlie and Mayhew are played by Ayomid Adegan, Peter Green and Jeremy Bob respectively.apparently Keanu Reeves isn’t on the show, but other names Mel Gibson, Hubert Point du Jour, Michel Prada, Jessica Alleyne, Nun Kate and Ben Robson play unknown characters.
What are you talking about?
Reportedly, it will be a miniseries of just three episodes, but each episode will be 90 minutes long.
What about actions?
Two of the show’s three episodes will be directed by Albert Hughes, who recently revealed that while they’ll follow a similar style of action sequences, they’ll be very different. Speaking to Deadline, he said: “It takes over two hours to tell one story, but on TV it was refreshing to have a longer story and more characters. You can’t stick to Wick’s style, and not everyone will be John Wick, he’s an idiosyncratic character.

“So what kind of fighting style do these people have? This person has guns, this person has karate, this person has kung fu style. They are very different, but the same world. and it’s very important that we serve their ‘fans. Early on, there’s an opening sequence where Kirk and I are nodding to the fans. Don’t worry, we’ll get you And we weave that into the whole.”
