Modest Mouse drummer Jeremiah Green is currently undergoing cancer treatment.
Band frontman Isaac Brock asked people for support in Modest Mouse formula Instagram On Wednesday I wrote: Jeremiah was diagnosed with cancer some time ago and is currently undergoing treatment. It’s going well and seems to be making a positive difference. Like me, Jeremiah believes in the power of positive energy, so if he could send some “good vibes” (quoting Jeremiah) in the direction of Jeremiah and his family, that would be great.
Brock did not specify the type of cancer Green was diagnosed with.
While undergoing treatment, Green has taken a break from touring with the band and recently wrapped up the ‘Lonesome Crowded West’ tour. They plan to continue performing in Mexico City in March.
Radio DJ Marco Green said on Twitter: Despite having a stage 4 diagnosis, his prognosis is good! His oncologist is a big fan of his MM (which is why he has it in his corner!) (two hearts emoji).
Green is a founding member of Modest Mouse, famous for the song “Float On”. Along with Green, Bullock and bassist Eric Judy formed the band in the 1990s and released their debut album in 1996.
The band released eight albums last June, including ‘The Golden Casket’.
