Jennifer Lopez’s summer tour, “This is Me… Live,” has been canceled amid reports that her marriage to Ben Affleck is in crisis.
Live Nation announced the news today, explaining, “Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends.”
Lopez also addressed the cancellation in her OntheJLo newsletter, writing, “I am truly heartbroken and saddened to have let you all down. I want you all to know that I would not do this if I did not feel it was absolutely necessary. I promise that I will make it up to you all and that we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time…”
Tickets through Ticketmaster will be refunded, but anyone who purchased through a third party should contact that company.
Extra spoke to Jennifer in January about the This Is Me… Now album, where she said, “This is a project that’s been years in the making since making This Is Me… Then. I never expected that 20 years later I’d be releasing the This Is Me… Now album, but as fate would have it, that same inspiration struck and it happened.”
She added: “This project has been a big journey for me. I put my heart and soul into it.”
Speaking about her music and working on the film This Is Me… Now: A Love Story, Jennifer continued, “I’m very passionate about music. I started out as a dancer and I love making films. I get to do it all at once – acting, singing, dancing, writing lyrics, composing music, costume design. I’m involved in everything and I pay attention to every detail. When you’re a musical artist, you can really dictate and express how you want to be. This is the first film where I’ve really had that kind of creative freedom.”
