It was a big weekend for Jennifer Hudson, who threw the first pitch at the Crosstown Classic in Chicago.
Extra special correspondent Jake Hamilton spoke with Jennifer, who said she was happy to be back in her hometown.
She said: “There’s no place like home. It’s absolutely amazing. This is like a dream. My grandmother loved baseball.”
Hudson will bring that Chicago spirit to the third season of “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” which begins Sept. 16.
Now in her second season, Jennifer said she feels “more at home,” adding, “I know where I’m at and the audience feels like family.”
Hudson said she wanted to bring “joy” and that it was “all about people coming together and having a good time.”
Last season, Jennifer hosted big-name guests like Heidi Klum, John Legend, Hannah Waddingham and Viola Davis, so how will she top them this season?
She replied, “I don’t know. I won’t know until I see it.”
