Jennifer Hudson is already warming up the holiday season with her new album, “The Gift of Love.”
“Extra” interviewed Jennifer, who collaborated with her boyfriend Common on a holiday album.
She said, “I call him the ‘King of Words,’ so who better to handle the poetry and spoken word portion of the album?”
This album is her first in 10 years. Hudson said, “I’ve always wanted to make a holiday album and finally had the right songs.”
Hudson is also spreading joy on his “The Gift of Love: An Intimate Live Experience” tour, which begins November 24th. It will feel very intimate. ”
Jennifer’s friend Mariah Carey is considered the queen of Christmas thanks to her hit song “All I Want for Christmas is You.”
Could we see a musical collaboration between Jennifer and Mariah in the near future?
Hudson replied: “When I talked to her, she was like, ‘Jennifer, why didn’t you let me write a song?’ And I was like, ‘Oh, Mariah.’ So…maybe we can expect more from the Christmas Queen and Christmas Princess one day. ”
