Jennifer Aniston wants her Friends co-star Matt LeBlanc to do what he loves most on the special occasion of his 57th birthday: doing nothing.
Aniston played Rachel Green on the show, which chronicled the lives of six best friends living recklessly in Manhattan, while LeBlanc played Joey Tribbiani on the TV sitcom that catapulted the actors to international fame.
On Thursday, July 25, Aniston celebrated LeBlanc’s birthday by sharing a sweet message for him on her Instagram Story. “Happy birthday,” Aniston wrote, before hilariously quoting LeBlanc’s iconic interview, in which she detailed her favorite hobby: “doing nothing.” Aniston continued, “I hope I do nothing today. Love you.”
The birthday message was also accompanied by a throwback video with her co-stars, in which she said, “What I love most in the world, what I love most in the world is doing nothing. I’m good at doing nothing. I should become a pro at doing nothing. That’s what I can do. I can get really good at it. Because it’s so simple! There are no rules. When they ask me, ‘What are you doing today?’ I say, ‘Nothing.’ It’s so simple.”
Friends debuted in 1994 with an all-star cast that included David Schwimmer as Ross Geller, Courteney Cox as Monica Geller, Lisa Kudrow as Phoebe Buffay, and the late Matthew Perry as Chandler Bing. The iconic TV sitcom ran for 10 seasons before ending in 2004. However, even after two decades, Friends remains a fan-favorite show among younger generations, mainly due to its relatable storylines.
