Isabella Ferrer arrived at the New York premiere of “It Ends With Us” on Tuesday wearing a floral Oscar de la Renta dress and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, all styled by her co-star Blake Lively.
Extra’s Mona Kosar Abdi spoke with Isabella, who revealed that Blake’s best friend Taylor Swift was actually involved in her casting.
“I was blown away to find out later when I got the audition that she helped me with,” Isabella said. Ferrer added, “I’m speechless.”
Isabella plays a younger version of Blake’s character Lily Bloom, and shared the advice Blake gave her when she was preparing for her first film role.
Isabella commented, “She said, ‘You just have to believe you have it.’ If you believe in yourself and you know you belong and you believe you’re worthy, that’s going to get you far. So that’s what I try to do.”
Isabella says she feels “so lucky” to have Blake as her rock in the industry: “She’s an angel. A guiding light. A powerful presence. Everything you could want in a mentor and someone to look up to. It’s a dream come true,” she said.
“It’s a real honour,” she said of being a part of the film that gained such a cult following from Colleen Hoover’s novel.
She added, “The complexity of Lily, the strength of that character, being able to play a role that’s not monotonous like that is so exciting as an actor. She’s such a multifaceted person.”
Isabella also had love for her co-star Alex Neustadter, who plays a young Atlas, saying, “He did such an amazing job and was so wonderful to work with.”
“It Ends with Us” will be released on August 9th.
