“It’s straight water.” TikToker Jonny (@jborja9) he says, pouring the juice into a clear glass. The video has been viewed more than 5.6 million times as of Saturday.
To prove that he hasn’t temporarily replaced the original juice with water, he removes another unopened carton of Minute Maid Peach Punch from the refrigerator and asks his friend to open the tab.
“Same thing, ah,” he exclaimed as he poured the second carton, also clear. He asked his friend to shake the carton just to be sure, but the juice was still clear.
The caption reads, “Minute Maid, please explain this to me.”
Minute Maid Peach Punch should be clear?
“Isn’t that the right color?” a woman asks in the background of the clip. Several viewers suggested the same in the comments section.
“Peach juice is almost clear! I hope this helps!” one person writes.
“I’ve never felt so smart in my life,” jokes another.
“I was so excited to see this guy pour out those delicious juices,” added a third.
But an image of the juice review on the Meijer grocer’s website says the color should be a brighter yellow.
TikTokers buy more juice
Replying to a comment, Johnny shows a new unopened carton of the same juice follow up video. When he poured himself a glass of peach punch, it was bright yellow.
“You see this color? I knew I wasn’t tripping,” he says.
Next, remove the previous carton from the refrigerator and pour it into another clear glass.
“You guys don’t believe me. This is what I bought at Walmart the other day,” he said, comparing two different colored juices.
In the comments section, viewers appear to be retracting their previous statements.
“Everyone owes this man an apology,” one person wrote.
“You may be right, but it’s my fault,” says another.
“On behalf of the entire TikTok family, we sincerely apologize. Oh he’s back with the receipts,” a third person added.

This isn’t the first time Minute Maid’s juices have come under fire. In September, a customer poured a watermelon version of the juice and noticed it was a different color. In an article for the Daily Dot, the author reveals how to tell if Minute Maid juice has gone bad. The piece states to first look at the liquid to make sure there are no lumps, check the color, and finally do a taste test.
The Daily Dot reached out to Johnny through direct messages and comments on TikTok. We also contacted Walmart via press form and Minute Maid’s owner Coca-Cola via email.
