In the clip, which currently has more than 19 million views, Randolph interviews a man who claims to have worked at a “secret Starbucks” that was only accessible to Hollywood’s elite.
What is the relationship with the “secret Starbucks”?
The interview begins with Randolph confirming that the guest is no longer bound by a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
“It’s okay to talk about this because the NDA has expired,” the comedian said.
The guest acknowledged this and claimed that he previously worked at Starbucks “above Reserve.” This is a term used to refer to upscale Starbucks Reserve stores.
He describes it as a place “no one has ever heard of or been to.”
“When you’re driving around Los Angeles, have you ever wondered why you’ve never seen someone stuck in traffic on the 405 like Will Smith?” a guest asks.
He went on to claim that there is a secret tunnel system known as the “Actor Barn” that allows celebrities to travel through Los Angeles with ease.
“They can use the access points to move around the city without getting stuck in traffic,” he continues. “You can come to LAX, you can come to Dodger Stadium.”
Guests claim that inside these tunnels there is a Starbucks specially designed for the elite.
“Starbucks has stores in different locations so you can get coffee while driving,” he says.
Who goes to the “secret Starbucks”?
At this point, Randolph interjected and asked, “Who are they?”
Guests respond with examples.
“Seinfeld,” he said, noting that he even knew his orders. “Almond milk latte, two shots”
Randolph asks if these celebrities are good tipsters, but the guest reveals, “They don’t have to pay.”
When asked how long this underground Celebrity Road has been in place, the guest suggested it has been there since the city was built.
“I think this goes back to the ’20s,” he says.
“This almost seems unreal,” the comedian concluded. “This is crazy.”
Is there any truth to “Actor Burn”?
The idea of a secret tunnel underground in Los Angeles reserved for celebrities seems to be part of the comedic nature of the video.
There are underground structures in Los Angeles. tunnelsome dating back to the Prohibition era, are no longer operational or open to the public.
The concept of a dedicated underground network for stars to avoid traffic jams is clearly a playful fiction.
viewers didn’t buy it
Most of the video’s commenters took it as satire, with some even joining in on the comedy.
“I worked at Actor Barn and it was great,” one user joked. “The tips were incredible. The rain from above turned into chocolate. The animals below spoke three languages. It was amazing, but the only disappointment was that there were no toilets. ”
“I worked at the Achterbahn petrol station,” joked another. “I could only pump oat milk or an Elephone Hailey Beaver smoothie.”
“Two shots of almond milk latte killed me,” a third person wrote.
The Daily Dot reached out to Randolph via direct message on TikTok and Instagram. We also asked Starbucks for official comment.
