Impractical Jokers star Sal Vulcano, 47, was hiding a big secret!
Earlier this week, Vulcano revealed he had secretly married his longtime girlfriend and become the father of a 20-month-old baby girl.
During the period exterior Speaking on Theo Van’s This Past Weekend podcast, Sal said: “I have a wife and kids, that’s real life, but why should the people who watch me on TV for 22 minutes every week need to know that?”
Vulcano called his daughter “the best thing that ever happened to me.”
“When I start talking about her, the tears come to my eyes,” he said excitedly. “I love her so much, I just want to express that.”
The happiness he feels for his daughter is “endless,” he said, adding: “Right now, when I hear her voice or see a picture of her, something happens to me. I don’t need access.”
Vulcano admitted that he “cannot put into words” fatherhood. “There are emotions I’ve never felt before. Imagine having new emotions after 45 years. These are emotions deeper than I’ve ever felt before. I love my family, I love my wife. It’s a pure happiness and joy that is hard to put into words, it’s like I’m floating in the air,” he pointed out.
Speaking about his relationship with his wife, Sal said the pair met “seven or eight years before” he became a celebrity.
He said: “I’ve never really spoken about it, but everyone knows I was with a woman for a long time.”
As for why he has decided to keep his private life private, he explained that he doesn’t want his life to be just “entertainment.”
He added: “I don’t know if I want you in my house and I don’t like people coming up to me and saying, ‘Hey, how’s your wife?’ [or ask] “I always ask, ‘How is your daughter?'”
Vulcano said: [his] “I want to speak in my own words,” she said. “I want to talk about my life, and in my next special, which I’m working on, I’ll talk about her onstage and things like that.”
