Greg Vaughan, 50, is speaking out after being hospitalized with severe altitude sickness.
The “Days of Our Lives” star was on a ski and snowboard trip with his family in Breckenridge, Colorado, when he fell ill.
he joked on Instagram“I’ve said it many times before, but I really feel like I’m working and living on a soap opera!”
After just one day in the mountains, Greg started experiencing “shortness of breath when climbing several flights of stairs, wheezing, nasal congestion and headaches after cold, snowy conditions.”

He continued: [hydrated] It was all day, so I drank a bottle of Pedialyte into the night, and the next morning I got NyQuil out, ready to tackle BRECK with the boys! ”
Despite home remedies, Vaughn found herself “tossing and turning, unable to sleep, coughing, getting high in the air, feeling like her head was inside a walnut cracker.” I did.
He decided to rest the next day, but his symptoms only worsened.
“It’s been two whole days,” Greg said afterward. My blood oxygen level was 54% and my lungs were full of fluid. ”
He further added, “Most people’s oxygen levels are between 95 and 100 percent…”

in second post, he showed off that his blood oxygen level was 94 percent, adding: 🤪But I couldn’t do it. There’s still one day left and I want the boys to enjoy their last day at the top of the hill. I decided to take my oxygen tank and go home. We all had a good laugh and I know it will continue after that, but my sons took good care of the old man and luckily we had friends on this trip! ”
He claimed: “Seriously, no matter how old you are, and no matter how many times I’ve played ⛷️&🏂 in my life, the Colorado Rockies are no joke! As they say, ‘Breathe in and watch the roses. Smell it!’ That’s really what we need to remember and appreciate. #Recovering #my adventure 🙏🏻🤘🏼👊🏼. ”
