Ever wish you could use your iPhone as a display while it’s charging? With iOS 17, you can now do that. iOS 17 is Apple’s latest update that brings many new features and improvements to iPhone. One of these features is called Standby and allows you to customize your iPhone’s display.
What is standby?
StandBy is a new feature that turns your iPhone into a full-screen display while charging horizontally. Clock faces, weather, photos, and more will appear on the screen when your phone is charging and in landscape mode. This is all in an effort to ensure that you can see everything from a distance as long as your iPhone is lying flat while charging. How to enable standby
To enable StandBy, your iPhone must have iOS 17 installed. To check your software version, please visit: setting > genusl > Software updates. If you don’t already have iOS 17, you can download and install it from there.

When you install iOS 17, Standby is enabled by default. Just connect your iPhone. MagSafe Charger Alternatively, place the Qi-based wireless charger horizontally in a locked position. This feature will not work with chargers that are not compatible with these standards or if your phone is unlocked.

How to customize standby view
To customize your standby view, you can swipe the screen left or right to switch between different views such as widgets, photos, and clock. You can also swipe the widget up or down to change it.

For example, you can swipe up on the clock widget and choose from different styles such as digital, flip, and world clock. You can also swipe up on the calendar widget to see events, reminders, or notes.
