Hilton’s 5th Night Free benefit works much the same way as Marriott, but with slightly more limited restrictions. Redeem points on stays of up to 20 nights and get every 5th night free. The problem is, this benefit is only available if: Hilton Honors Elite Membership (Silver and above).
Fortunately, getting Hilton status is very easy. Earn entry-level Silver status by maintaining your annual fee-free status. Hilton Honors American Express Card (look Rates and fees). To unlock higher status tiers, Other Hilton credit cards and American Express Platinum Card® (Registration required).
Again, discounts are automatically applied online, but you must log into your account before searching to see lower rates. Additionally, benefits are limited to standard rooms.
IHG One Rewards 4th night free benefit
IHG’s free night offers are some of the most generous and special. IHG gives you a free night when you book 4 consecutive nights instead of 5. However, this benefit can only be used by IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card, IHG One Rewards Traveler Credit Card or IHG One Rewards Premier Business Credit Card. Therefore, even if you have IHG One Rewards Elite Statusyou may not necessarily have access to this benefit.
The 4th night benefit can be used on an unlimited number of stays per year. As long as you’re signed in to the account linked to your card, you’ll see your discount automatically applied online.
