TPG staff are huge fans Chase SapphirePreferred® Card (look Fees and fees). we I’ll be happy to pay the annual fee Every year, I list it as one of them Cards suggested to many travelers. We love that this card can earn bonus points on travel and meals and transfer points to. A valuable transfer partner.
A big advantage is a 10% anniversary point bonus, offering cardholders a 10% bonus based on their total spending for the account anniversary year, and a 1 point rate of $1. So, for example, if you spend $100,000 on a sapphire in your card member’s year, you can earn 10,000 bonus points at the end of the year.
Since April 2025 of TPG evaluation place Track the ultimate reward Earning 2.05 cents worth of points and 10,000 bonus points each is like earning $205 worth. Dive into details about this profit and how you can track your progress with Chase Sapphire Preferred’s 10% anniversary bonus.
For Chase Sapphire, I preferred the 10% anniversary bonus
Without reading the fine print, this perk can sound slightly misleading at first. Details are as follows:
10% Anniversary Points Bonus: Each Account Anniversary Year will earn you bonus points equivalent to 10% of the points from purchases made with a credit card in the previous Account Anniversary Year, and you will receive a 1 point rate at a 1 point rate of $1. “Account Anniversary” means the year that begins with the account’s opening date until the account’s opening date, and is 12 months later.
You should not make this mistake as you earn 10% of the points you earn in a particular year. Instead, you earn 10% more points based solely on the dollars you spend on your specified account anniversary.
This can be thought of as simply adding 0.1% to an existing bonus category. Chase sapphire is desirable. As a reminder, the card’s return rate is as follows:
- 5 points per dollar spent on travel purchased A chased trip℠ (Excluding $50 hotel credit)
- 5 points per dollar spent on Lyft purchases (until December 2027)
- 5 points per dollar Peloton Purchase equipment and accessories over $150 (25,000 points limit until December 2027)
- 3 points spent per dollar dining
- 3 points spent per dollar Online Grocery (Excluding Walmart, Target, and Wholesale Club)
- 3 points spent per dollar Select a streaming service
- 2 points per dollar spent on everything else Travel Buying
- 1 point spent on all other eligible purchases

In other words, I earned 5.1 points per dollar spent on my Lyft purchases (until December 2027), 3.1 points per dollar spent on meals, and 2.1 points per dollar per dollar for other travel purchases. The list continues.
It’s not a big difference, but it certainly means a considerable number of bonus points at the end of the card member year.

How to track progress for 10% anniversary bonuses
If you are not sure what your account anniversary date is yet to be found, The ultimate reward portal Find this date and progress to a 10% bonus.
Hover to Reward Activities under Reward Details.
Next, under “10% Anniversary Point Boost”, you will find your spending summary, points earned, and progress.
As you spend more than next year, that number will continue to increase.
Another important thing to note here is that you will not receive bonus points until 60-90 days after the anniversary is over. This is because Chase hopes to pay the annual fee next year before awarding these bonus points.
Anyway, there is no additional work to stimulate this profit. When your anniversary is reset, points will be automatically deposited into your account and deposited. If you want to track your progress, you can do so in the Rewards Activities tab of the Ultimate Rewards portal. Otherwise, skip points.
