Mistakes at every level of the game reflected in San Francisco’s PFF score as the 49ers suffered their second straight loss on Monday Night Football in Week 7, this time a disappointing 22-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings has been done.
Brock Purdy has a passer rating of 145.3 when using play-action, but he achieved that on just three of his 33 dropbacks on Monday night. The quarterback completed all three of those attempts for a total of 20 yards, but Purdy faced difficulty when under pressure.
The second-year quarterback completed six of nine attempts for 68 yards, had two interceptions and posted a 49.5 passer rating under pressure. The Vikings’ defense also tightened the screws on Iowa State’s favorite field, the target area 10-19 yards downfield.
Purdy’s typical sweet spot in the passing game was not the case in Minnesota, completing only three of seven attempts for 45 yards.
Here are the highest and lowest Week 7 PFF grades for the 49ers.
