Search for videos using iOS 17

Have you ever wanted to find a particular video from your camera roll, but couldn’t remember when or where you recorded it?
Or maybe you have thousands of videos stored on your phone and scrolling through them is a nightmare.
if you have iOS17, you don’t have to worry anymore. iOS 17 adds a new feature that lets you search for videos by keyword and audio. We’ll explain how to use this feature and why it’s great.

How to search by keyword in a video
Let’s say you’re looking for a video of your last bike trip. You don’t have to go through albums and memories to find them. Just use the search feature in the Photos app. Here’s how:
- open photo app
- Tap. search bottom right icon
- Please enter a word video and tap
- then enter the word bicycle and tap
- then click See all.

Now you will see all videos with bikes in your camera roll. It doesn’t matter if the bike is in the foreground or background, or whether it’s a mountain bike or a road bike. The Photos app will recognize it and display it.

How to search by audio in a video
What if you’re looking for a video with a specific sound? For example, you might want to find videos of music playing, dogs barking, clapping, etc.
You can do that with iOS 17 too. The steps are the same as before, but instead of entering a keyword, enter a sound. Here’s how:
- open photograph app
- Tap. search bottom right icon
- Please enter a word video and tap
- Type something like applause and tap
- then click see all
- Now you know all videos The input audio will be saved to your camera roll. When you tap on a video, a blue bar will appear in the section of the video that contains audio. This way you can easily find the part of the video you’re looking for.
