Smart scale function
The Index S2 smart scale is packed with features that will make a big difference in your health and fitness efforts. Digital smart scale tracks weight, BMI, body fat percentage, bone mass, body water percentage, and more.
For the most accurate results, step on the scale barefoot first thing in the morning before eating, drinking or exercising. Because at Garmin, we believe accurate data is key to achieving your health and fitness goals.
- Weight/weight trends: Developing a healthier and more active lifestyle can lead to large-scale tangible results. You can track your weight in pounds, kilograms, or both stones and pounds, depending on your preference. If you want to see how your weight has changed over the past 30 days, you can use the weight trend settings to see a line chart of your recorded weight. If you use the scale multiple times in a day, your last weight measurement will be used as your recorded weight for the day.
- Body mass index (BMI): If one of your health goals is to lose weight, a scale that can measure your BMI is a must. BMI is used to estimate your overall weight and whether you are overweight or underweight. BMI also helps you understand your risk of disease depending on your body fat. Smart Scale calculates your BMI by calculating your weight in kilograms and dividing it by your height in meters squared.
- Body fat percentage: While you strive to feel your best, remember that as part of that process it’s important to get healthy fats, which play an important role in your body’s overall functioning, including digestion and metabolism.
