Hoda Kotb is preparing to say goodbye to “Today,” the set she’s called home since becoming co-anchor in 2018.
Carlos Grier of “Extra” interviewed Hoda and admitted that saying goodbye to the show was not easy.
She said: “Every day is a little different. I’m someone who’s really bad at breaking up. That’s not about me. I leave every party early, but this one…
This process was like a farewell almost every day. I’ve probably been hugged more this past week than I’ve ever been in my entire life, and it’s been truly magical. ”
Three months ago, Kotub shocked many by announcing his retirement. She said: “I think anyone who’s done that job for a long time can love it, and know that you’ve been to the top of a mountain, and the view you get when you’re on top of that mountain. You know it’s great.”
Hoda won’t be anchoring “Today,” but we can still see the Emmy winner presenting prime-time specials, working in the wellness field and co-hosting Olympic coverage. .
