Nick Hardy and Davis Riley earned their first PGA Tour wins with a final round of 65 at the Zurich Classic in New Orleans on Sunday. They made four birdies in the five-hole stretch late in the foursome format round and pulled away to win by two strokes over Canada’s Adam Hadwin and Nick Taylor. Hardy and Riley won a total prize pool of $1,242,000.
“This is so special and being able to share it with one of my best friends on tour is a dream come true,” Riley said.
Hadwin and Taylor shot 64-63 over the weekend, but it wasn’t enough. They each collect $507,400.
Windham Clarke and Bo Hosler lead 1-1, with Sung-jae Lim and Keith Mitchell going into the final round, and Clarke and Hosler also looking for their first PGA TOUR victory. However, the duo could only record his one-under-par 71, and solo he finished third. Mitchell and Yim finished sixth with 72 shots. 2022 Zurich Classic winners Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay posted consecutive 66 seconds over the weekend to tie for fourth place.
A win is important for Hardy and Riley, but they will be waived from the tour until the 2025 season. You can also participate in the PGA Championship, Memorial (designated event), next year’s Sentry Tournament of Champions and Players Championship (designated event).
