‘Hawaii Five-O’ actor Taylor Wile dies at age 56
according to The former sumo wrestler and host of Hawaii’s “Island Life Live” media outlet died on Thursday.
Wiley’s friend, Lina Ga’aru Rangi, announced the sad news, saying, “It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of a famous Hawaiian who was also a family friend. Former wrestler, mixed martial artist and actor Taylor Wiley passed away today in a hurricane in Utah.”
Rangi did not disclose the cause of Wiley’s death.
She fondly remembered him, saying, “He was a horrible looking person until you held him. That’s it. My heart just breaks.”
During his acting career, Wiley appeared in 171 episodes of Hawaii Five-0 (2010-2020).
He also appeared in “The Man Who Was Cuckolded” (2008), “Radical” (2017) and “Magnum P.I.” (2018-2020).
Magnum P.I. executive producer Peter Lenkov responded to Wiley’s death: write Instagram: “I am devastated. My heart is broken. I will post more details about my feelings in a few days. It’s just too hard right now.”
Wiley’s “Hawaii Five-O” co-star Dennis Chan posted the photo. write“Laura and I are heartbroken to hear of Taylor Wiley’s passing. He was not only an incredible talent, he was a great human being.”
He continued, “His aloha and heart made it always such a joy to work with him. It was an honor not only to work with him, but to call him a friend. Rest in peace Taylor. Hawaii and I are in tears tonight. Until we meet again, Aloha Taylor.”
Wiley is survived by his wife, Halona, and their two children.
