Jason Bateman plays the villain in Netflix’s new Christmas thriller Carry On.
Speaking to Extra at the LA premiere, he said he enjoyed the fact that his character wasn’t a typical villain.
Jason said: “They didn’t want me to play this guy like the guy who pats the white cat, which is a little bit stereotypical and cliche. I just thought, “I can’t help it, he’s just a bad guy, this is his job.” He’s kind of punching the clock and doesn’t want any nonsense from this young nervous TSA agent. ”
The TSA agent, played by Taron Egerton, is determined to protect travelers from dangerous passengers.
Jason had nothing but good things to say about his co-star Taron, saying: I don’t think he has it, I think it’s just pure, raw kindness. He’s a Christmas level guy. ”
On “Extra,” he also spoke with Egerton and talked about his character, Ethan.
“The truth about Ethan is that he’s kind of useless, certainly early in the story,” he added. I love that about him. ”
Additionally, Talon has stated that he would like to do another “Kingsman” movie and shared what he would like to see happen in it.
He said, “If I start speaking out outside of school, there will be a backlash against Matthew Vaughn’s franchise.” Talon added: “I’d like to find a new person, and I’d like to be Colin.” [Firth]. ”
“Carry On” will be available on Netflix from December 13th.
