‘Extra’ catches up with ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ stars Hailee Steinfeld, Issa Rae and Shameik Moore as Sony previews 14 minutes of the film at CinemaCon 2023 in Las Vegas I was.
The stars were stoked to make a long-awaited animated sequel, and Hailey reflected on being part of both the Spider-Verse and the MCU in her role of “Hawkeye.”
“I feel incredibly lucky to be a part of not one but two beautiful projects with so many incredibly talented people,” Haley said.
She said, “Being a part of something that resonates with people is the greatest reward. I got to play these two characters who have inspired so many people, especially so many young women.”
The film features Haley as Ghost Spider and Issa as Spider-Woman.
Calling her character “bad”, Issa said, “She’s confident. She’s no-nonsense. She’s one of the coolest people I’ve had the chance to play.”
When asked if any part of himself is included in these characters, Ray commented: Our sense of humor. “
They also responded to possible cameos from “Spider-Man” actors Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire.
Without spilling anything, Shameik said, “I know Hailee Steinfeld is in it. I know Issa Rae is in it… Daniel Kaluuya… Jake Johnson.
Haley said, “I have some treats. If it wasn’t for the treats, none of this would have happened.”
Shameik teased what to expect from the film. Mix that gumbo really nice when you eat it. It will be a snack. “
