Green Party 2024 presidential candidate Jill Stein was among 100 people arrested at Washington University in St. Louis on Saturday, her campaign manager confirmed to Fox News Digital.
Stein’s campaign manager, Jason Cole, said he, Stein and deputy campaign manager Kelly Merrill Kaier were all arrested at an encampment on campus.
“Demands from the encampment specifically asked the university to divest from Boeing, whose nearby St. Charles facility manufactures munitions used in the ongoing genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.” Cole told FOX News Digital. “Stein’s campaign supports student demands and peaceful protests and gatherings on campus. Student protests for peace and civil liberties always challenge our collective moral It represents the best part of conscience: solidarity.”

Stein’s arrest comes amid escalating anti-Israel protests and an increase in anti-Semitic incidents across the United States.

The University of Southern California closed its campus to non-residents and canceled on-stage graduation ceremonies. More than 100 people were arrested this week at Columbia University, and dozens were arrested at the University of Texas on Wednesday. Demonstrations and protests also took place at Yale University, Harvard University, the University of Minnesota, Johns Hopkins University and Arizona State University, and 93 people were arrested as of Saturday morning.
