The second Tiktok Shop Live Hub was launched at Tekun Nasional headquarters. The initiative is a collaboration between Tiktok Shop and Tiktnacional, which aims to empower local entrepreneurs through the e-commerce ecosystem. The launch took a step forward in helping local small businesses expand into larger markets by leveraging digital marketing.
As part of its long-term commitment, Tiktok Shop has announced nearly 3 million investments to develop and operate Tiktok Shop Live Hubs across Malaysia. This commitment will be achieved through the opening of its first hub in Kuala Lumpur to provide digital platform access to entrepreneurs.
Ewon commented that the initiative is a step towards driving the development of Malaysia’s ecommerce ecosystem, particularly in Kuala Lumpur. “Tiktok Shop Live Hub will serve as a catalyst for the growth of local digital businesses, increasing opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses and provide innovative spaces for local content creators.”
Since 2024, Tiktok Shop has partnered with Tekun Nasional to train more than 100 sellers on Selangor, generating more than RM2.3 million, and has seen an order increase of 300%.
“This partnership is informed that it aims to establish 12 live hub studios in six states: Sabah, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor, Kelantan and Sarawak.”
Nur Azre Abdul Aziz, director of Tiktok Shop Malaysia Strategic Partnerships, said beyond his financial solutions partnership with Tekun Nasional, Tiktok Shop Live Hub will allow local entrepreneurs to fill the digital participation gap and build brands and communities.
“We aim to promote inclusive digital economic growth, create new job opportunities and open up alternative income streams for Malaysians, especially small and medium-sized businesses,” she added.
