That’s how much the Google Pixel 8 Pro costs ($999). It’s $100 more expensive than the top-of-the-line 7 model. What’s more, it’s powered by Google’s fast Tensor G3 chip and a camera as good as the iPhone 15. Great feature: Zoom Enhance lets you add details after you take a shot and zoom in on your photo.
Another random but nice addition is a temperature sensor that can accurately measure the hotness or coldness of surfaces, objects, and even your forehead.
The colors are black, porcelain, and light blue, and shipping is scheduled for October 12th.

What about non-professionals?
The Pixel 8 will also increase in price by $100. It’s faster than the 7, slightly smaller, and has access to Google’s new AI photo editing tools (along with the 8 Pro).
- magic editor Use AI to change the scenery in your photos, remove distractions, and even move people around.
- best take It’s a game changer for group shots. The idea is to take several photos, choose the best face for each subject, and combine them into one final image of her. In the end, everyone looked great!
- audio magic eraser Tone down distracting sounds in your audio track that ruin your video.
8 costs $699, or $799 if purchased from Verizon. The colors are rose, black, and hazel, and they are also scheduled to ship on October 12th.
Update until 2030
At least you know that if you spend all your money, your phone will last for years. According to Google, both the 8 and 8 Pro phones will receive seven years of “OS, security, and Feature Drop updates.”

How does it compare to the new iPhone?
For most people, it comes down to which ecosystem they prefer. If you’ve been using either for years, you should know exactly how they work and be familiar with the OS.
Perhaps you’re not that loyal to the brand. Shall we compare the specs? Continue using the basic model.
iPhone 15 vs. Pixel 8
- Fee: $799 to $1,099 (iPhone). $699 – $749 (pixels)
- screen: 6.1 inch OLED, 460 pixels/inch (iPhone), 6.2 inch OLED, 428 pixels/inch (pixels)
- Ram: 6GB (iPhone); 8GB (Pixel)
- battery: 3,349mAh (iPhone); 4,575mAh (Pixel)

I’ll leave it up to you to draw your own conclusions, but if you just look at the specs, the Pixel models are completely solid for the price. (Yes, I say that as an iPhone enthusiast.)
Beyond phones, here’s what Google is working on:
Extended battery life, improved sensors
The Pixel Watch 2 looks identical to the original, but has significant internal upgrades. The improved Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 processor provides up to 24 hours of battery life, even when Always-on display is enabled.
Equipped with new skin temperature and electrodermal activity sensors, it can tell you your stress level. It also adds a heart rate sensor for more accurate readings and automatic workout tracking.
The GPS version costs $349.99 and the LTE version costs $399.99. Choose from silver and blue, silver and white, gold and hazel, or all black.
Genius technology life hacks that no one told you about – until now
Can you hear me, Buzz?
Pixel Buds are Google’s answer to AirPods. The upgraded Buds Pro come in light blue and porcelain options to match the new phones, and also feature audio upgrades for “richer, clearer” sound. It costs $199.99.
Your assistant gets smarter
It wouldn’t be 2023 without talk about AI. Google Assistant will be upgraded to Bard AI “in the coming months.” It works with Google apps like Gmail, Drive, and Calendar to help you plan your trips, caption photos, create lists, and find dinner reservations you forgot about. .
