“Good Morning America” joins Los Angeles wildfire relief efforts and begins coverage of “So Cal Strong” this morning.
“Extra” spoke with Robin Roberts, Michael Strahan and Ginger Zee who are expressing support for communities affected by the wildfires that destroyed Pacific Palisades and Altadena.
Robin said: “It’s an honor to share these stories and help support charities in Southern California right now. And today, we’re announcing more than $6 million in donations. We hope our viewers will continue to support us in the coming days. We know you will.”
Michael added: “The coverage doesn’t end today. We’ll continue our ABC newscasts through the weekend, and our ‘GMA’ family is ‘Southern California Strong’ for all families in need right now. ”
According to a press release, ABC’s relief effort will focus on “promoting recovery, rebuilding and resiliency and highlighting ways viewers can support local organizations that are helping Southern California families rebuild their lives.” It is said that there is
