A famous friend of George Clooney had ordered the opening of Broadway, including his “Goodnight and Good Luck” play “Out of Vision.”
Lande Gerber, partner at George’s Casamigos, smacked the carpet with his wife Cindy Crawford and daughter Kaia, while Pierce Brosnan was present with his wife Keely. Clooney’s “er” fellow Juliana Marglies and Anthony Edwards also came out to support them.
Other stars include Gale King, Richard King, George Stephanopulos and his wife Ali Wentworth.
But where was his wife, Amal Clooney? He said “extra” and she said “with the kids.”
George returns to his best director in the Oscar-nominated 2005 film Goodnight and Lucky, but this time he plays the lead role of journalist Edward R. Murrow.
The opening night went well and ended with loud applause!
Will Clooney be able to handle eight shows a week for the next six months? He insisted, “I can handle it, I think I’m fine.” Joke: “I’m not dead yet!”
He said, “I was nervous. I wanted to write a play, but I haven’t played it for about 40 years so I wasn’t really thinking about doing it.”
George recently told “Good Day New York” that he had already been in NYC with Amal and twins Alexander and Ella for about a month, revealing that the children are already enrolled in school.
“Good night and good luck” is now on Broadway.
