“Extra” caught up with George and Amal Clooney at the Clooney Foundation for Justice’s third annual event, “Alby’s,” which honors brave defenders of justice.
They spoke about how proud they are of the foundation’s growth and its commitment to fighting human rights abuses.
George said: “For us, this growth means we can fund and protect journalists at risk and women who are used as instruments of war.” And we are committed to all of this. I’m very proud of the fact that I get to join the efforts of these brave people. ”
Amal has been involved from the beginning. She commented: “This foundation is like an opportunity for us to challenge large-scale human rights violations in a way that we as lawyers cannot do alone, and we’re really proud of what we’ve reached.” place. This is my third Albee. We currently provide free legal aid to victims of human rights violations in more than 40 countries. We focus on women, victims of sexual violence, and journalists who seek to report on ongoing crimes and are often targeted themselves. So we have some real heroes on stage tonight and I’m really proud of them. ”
George and Amal are celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary tomorrow, and she revealed that George plans to surprise her with a holiday.
Amal said: “We’re going somewhere, but he hasn’t told us where. He gave us a hint about the weather. We know we’re going to be there for two nights. ”
George joked. “Yeah, I’m going to the Cincinnati Bengals game.”
“I really hope I don’t go to the Cincinnati Bengals game,” Amal said with a laugh.

They said they had no idea what twins Alexander and Ella were planning, with Amal joking: “It’ll probably be something made of slime.”
George also gave an update on the next Ocean’s movie, revealing, “We have a script, we have a director, and we’re trying to decide when to start.”
George and Amal recently went on a double date with Brad Pitt and Ines de Ramon at the Venice Film Festival’s Wolfs, and George said he was “really happy” with Brad. Ta. Wonderful young ladies, they are having a great time and we are all very happy. ”
