This comes just over a year after Lifetime’s former head of Unscripted launched UNConventional at Sony Pictures Television.
Late last year, McCarthy announced her first series project: Hallmark Media has greenlit Celebrations with Lacey Chabert, which the Mean Girls star will star in and executive produce, and will premiere on the network’s streaming service later this year.
UNConventional focuses on lifestyle and fact-based entertainment formats, including relationships, family, food, survival, American culture, competition and crime.
She has also sold projects to networks including Lifetime, weTV, TLC, OWN and Paramount+.
McCarthy previously spent 10 years at A+E Networks, where he served as EVP and Head of Programming at Lifetime Unscripted and Head of Programming at Fyi, and previously worked at Discovery Channel and weTV.
