Country singer Garth Brooks has been accused of sexual assault and rape by a makeup artist.
In a lawsuit filed Thursday and obtained by “Extra,” an anonymous woman known as “Jane Roe” alleges that throughout 2019, Signor raped her, exposed her genitals, and sexually exposed her. He claims that he sent her an email.
In one incident, documents allege, Brooks emerged from the shower “naked with an erection” as the woman was getting her hair and makeup done. Brooks then allegedly placed the woman’s hand on his penis and expressed interest in her performing “oral sex.”
According to the complaint, Brooks allegedly became “completely naked” in 2019 when they shared a room at a Los Angeles hotel to record Sam Moore’s Grammy tribute show.
Documents say the woman didn’t realize the two were staying together in a hotel room until she arrived.
The woman accused Brooks of raping her in a hotel suite, claiming she was “unable to escape his physical control.”
The document added: “Despite the callous disregard for Mr. Law, it was business as usual when Mr. Brooks finished work. Ms. Law worked quickly to get her hair done and make-up done in time for the event. I did.”
After that encounter, Brooks allegedly openly discussed his sexual fantasies with her. “Brooks physically groped her breasts while she was doing her hair and makeup, and his sexual fantasies about her increased in frequency,” the complaint states.
Brooks obtained the woman’s cell phone in 2020 and “deleted most of the sexually explicit text messages he sent her,” according to the complaint.
They stopped working together in 2021, and she then moved to Mississippi, according to the complaint.
In addition to the charges, the prosecutors made the following declaration: “Mr. Brooks took this as an opportunity to expose a side of Brooks that his female employees hide from the public. This side of Brooks believes that he has the right to sexual gratification when he wants and It is fair to use female employees to obtain
Prior to the woman’s complaint, Brooks filed a preemptive complaint last month identifying himself as “John Doe.”
In Brooks’ filing, obtained by Extra, he describes the woman as a “liar and extortionist intent on destroying his professional reputation.”
Brooks denied the allegations, claiming:[Roe’s] The suspicion is not true. [Roe] However, it is important to note that such false allegations would cause significant and irreparable damage to Plaintiff’s reputation as a decent and caring person, and the resulting unavoidable damage to his family. He is well aware of the damage and the irreparable damage to his career and livelihood. If she followed through on her threat to “publicly file” a trumped-up lawsuit. In fact, such knowledge definitely explains why [Roe] Rather than simply sue to recover her alleged (but untrue) injuries, she threatened to sue through a “confidential” demand letter. ”
According to Brooks’ complaint, the two worked together for 15 years, but after Brooks refused her request for “salary employment and medical benefits,” Brooks made “false and illegal claims of sexual misconduct.” He is said to have made “unusual allegations.”
