A former aide to New York Attorney General Letitia James is suing her, alleging she covered up sexual harassment and sexual assault by her former chief of staff, according to court documents.

The Quintanar lawsuit also alleges that James allowed another staff member to resign in similar circumstances in 2019.
She was hired as a deputy press secretary for James’ office in 2020, and left the job in July 2021 for Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown’s re-election campaign.
When he won, Quintanar began looking for a new job and urged him to participate in a fundraiser where the assault allegedly took place, according to court documents.

Khan then allegedly leaned in for another kiss before being rejected again. Quintanar initially feared that Khan would use his influence and political ties to undermine her career, so she decided not to file her complaint against Khan, her lawsuit said. Says.
