Fairmont Hotels & Resorts opens its first facility Japan I’m currently booking at the Tokyo Hotel this summer.
Fairmont TokyoIt is scheduled to open on July 1st, and will feature 217 empty rooms and suites on the 36th to 42nd floors (the lobby is on the 35th floor), with Fairmont sharing it with TPG. Thanks to its height, guests can enjoy breathtaking views of the city’s skyline from the relaxing pool and west facing sundeck.

The hotel is located in the Sibaura district, where stone throws from major landmarks such as Tokyo Tower and Zojoj Temple.
“There’s a lot to really see and explore, starting with the incredible panoramic views from the corners with all the windows and the terrace,” said Omer Acar, CEO of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, in a statement shared with TPG. “In this city’s hideaway, we had the opportunity to realize a celebratory experience that marries Tokyo’s heritage and culture with a sense of innovation and modernity. This is the perfect home for Fairmont.”
Room sizes in the property range from 170 square feet to over 900 square feet, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering city views. The rooms are decorated with a mix of Japanese lightweight Senwood, quartz tight stones and brass accents. Of course, it features Fairmont’s signature LeLab Bath products.

Travelers booking the Fairmont Gold Room have access to a private check-in area and lounge featuring distinctive amenities such as afternoon canapes and evening cocktails and personalized turndown rituals.
Upon opening, Fairmont Tokyo will offer five restaurants and two bars, including a brasserie serving wood pizza and a lobby lounge celebrating French and Japanese café culture. It also offers access to the spa and health club on the 35th floor.
Room prices start from $926 per night during the opening week, according to a search on the Fairmont website. However, as a bonus, Fairmont is offering a hotel credit of 10,000 yen ($66.95) per room to travelers booking to stay between July 1 and September 30 by July 24th.
This is Fairmont’s first asset in Japan, but not in Asia. Beyond Tokyo, Fairmont operates hotels in Singapore, Korea and China.
