Michael J. Fox opens up about his decades-long battle with Parkinson’s disease in a new interview. “Sunday morning,” Admit it takes a lot out of him — more and more each day.
Suffering visibly from the effects of neuropathy, he told interviewer Jane Pauley: Tougher than ever. Tough every day. But, but, that’s the way it is.”
His sense of humor is still manageable and he keeps joking around.
Describing the progression of the disease, which had no cure and was diagnosed at the age of 29, he said: I had trouble walking…and started breaking things. He broke this arm, he broke this arm, he broke this elbow. he broke his face. broke his hand.
Fox, 61, admits, “I’m not going to be 80.”
He talks about his daily life and a recent breakthrough in research that could lead to early diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease.
