Eva Longoria serves mouth-watering Mexican dishes in her second cookbook, My Mexican Kitchen.
Mona Kosar Abdi of “Extra” told Eva that she wanted to create a book that everyone could enjoy.
She said: “I’m a home cook. I’m self-taught, so I really like cookbooks that are very accessible, easy to understand, and have beautiful photos. I want to know, ‘Is this what it’s supposed to be?'” How to see it? So this is a very easy entry into Mexican food.
Of some of her favorite recipes, she said: “I’m really proud of my breakfast chapter, because I think Mexican breakfast is the best in the world. There’s chilaquiles, huevos rancheros, moletes, huevos diborciados, enfrihoradas. So much.”
Eva also said that tacos are a good and easy place to start, saying, “All you have to do is put things together. Have something like a dinner party, lay it all out, and say, ‘Here, look.’ It’s so much fun to say, ‘What I did,’ and you just really chopped things up. ”
She even teaches her 6-year-old son Santiago, who is featured in the book, how to make his favorite Mexican dishes.
She said, “He likes to roll tortillas. He’s been cooking with me since he was 2 years old.”
Eva was also delighted to be appearing in Season 4 of Only Murders in the Building. She said, “I kept pinching myself every time I went on set, but coming here to New York and filming was fun because I was like, ‘Wow, I’ve never worked in New York before.'”
“My Mexican Kitchen” is now available.
