Eugene Levy and Dan Levy will host the 2024 Emmy Awards!
The stars will be the first ever father-son team to host the awards show.
Eugene and Dan released the statement to commemorate 2020, when their show Schitt’s Creek swept the Emmy Awards.
“For two Canadians who literally won Emmys in a quarantine tent, being asked to host in an actual theater this year was motivation enough,” Eugene and Dan said. “We’re thrilled to be toasting this extraordinary season of television and can’t wait to share the evening with you all on September 15th.”
Disney Television Group president Craig Erwich praised the duo, saying, “Eugene and Dan’s comedic instincts and uncanny ability to connect with audiences will make for a memorable Emmy Awards telecast celebrating this year’s best and brightest.”

Television Academy president Chris Abrego added, “We are thrilled to welcome two generations of comedic geniuses to the Emmy stage as our hosts. Eugene and Dan Levy are known for creating unforgettable hilarious moments on screen, and together they have superpowers. We can’t wait for Emmy fans to see what they have in store for all of us.”
Fans can watch the father-son team take to the stage at the 76th Annual Emmy Awards ceremony, broadcast live on ABC from LA LIVE’s Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 15 from 5pm-8pm PDT/8pm-11pm EDT. The show will be available to stream on Hulu the following day.
In 2020, “Schitt’s Creek” began its domination of the Creative Arts Emmys, with the show winning Outstanding Casting in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Contemporary Costumes. At the primetime Emmys, Catherine O’Hara, who plays family matriarch Moira Rose, won best actress, and her TV husband, Eugene, “Johnny Rose,” won best actor. On-screen siblings Daniel (David Rose) and Annie (Alexis Rose) then won supporting Emmys.
Dan then won the award for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series, and along with Andrew Cividino, he also won the award for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series.Of course, the show’s biggest win of the night was the award for Outstanding Comedy Series.
