Dr. Emilio Esteban has left the USDA and is the highest scientific officer of the North American Division, and works with Merie Nutriss Charges as a global analysis hub.
President Joe Biden has appointed Esteban sixth under the US Ministry of Agriculture’s Food Safety Secretary. This mail is the best food safety position in the country. Esteban has been working at an agency since 2001.
Estheban played several roles in USDA food safety inspection services (FSIS). Since 2018, he has maintained the status of FSIS Chief Scientist.
Before joining the USDA, Estheban worked as an assistant director of the Intelligence, Staff Epidemology, and the Food Safety Bureau assistant director at the Diseases Prevention Center.
He is the chairman of the Codex Alimentalus Committee on food hygiene. This committee is useful for defining food hygiene standards for international trade. Esteban also works as vice president of the International Food Protection Association.
Esteban was trained as a veterinarian in Mexico. He has acquired MBA, Master’s degree of preventive veterinary medicine, and doctoral. Ph.D. in Epidemiology at the University of California.
