Chitkara’s EDUREFORM Curriculum
The EDUREFORM curriculum is designed to empower future incumbent secondary school teachers by training students to demonstrate critical, analytical and creative skills. As the labor market demands a shift from problem solving to problem analysis, students need to be trained in soft skills that serve as a foundation for performing tasks that cannot be easily accomplished with technologies such as AI.
With the EDUREFORM curriculum, teachers can be trained to create national best practices to support Indian national authorities in addressing societal challenges directly related to the 4th Industrial Revolution. The project also introduces a fully modernized academic teacher education program.
To ensure that EDUREFORM succeeds in its operational mission, a team of experts from Indian and European Universities work closely with Indian and European schools, with the assistance of an Indian analytics firm managing manpower development. is receiving This will enable the domestic workforce to meet the ever-changing demands of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Purpose of EDUREFORM in the Modern Classroom
EDUREFORM’s purpose is to raise awareness among prospective and current secondary school teachers in India and empower them to ultimately mitigate the expected social impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

- This project focuses on the gradual and sustained expansion of the EDUREFORM network as an open platform.
- EDUREFORM invests in developing parallel development activities.
- Encouraging creative, critical and analytical skills in all secondary school students in India can mitigate the impact of 4IR on the Indian labor market.
- The EDUREFORM project also focuses on inclusion and mainstream educational practices, specifically aimed at encouraging critical, analytical and creative thinking in secondary school students in India.

At Chitkara, our focus is on empowering students with transformative educational approaches that push boundaries and prepare them for an ever-changing world. EDUREFORM is a 3-year project co-funded with the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme, through cultivating thinking and providing essential skills, to 4 Indian Universities, 4 European Universities and 2 Secondary Schools. It consists of one school and one SME school, and is in the field of education.
