“He’s definitely reunited me and his father, but what are we doing?,” King said. “We have everything we’ve ever wanted. Let’s put down the weapons. Come on, this is it. This is life. It doesn’t get any better than this. This is worth a try. This is worth a clean slate. This is worth all the effort in the world. My family, this is worth all the energy and effort.”
It looks like the couple has found happiness in Nashville.
“We’re starting afresh,” she said. “We just bought a really nice new house in the mountains outside of Nashville. We’re happy, it’s a beautiful house. I’m so happy and so content. It’s wonderful. I’ve never really felt that way before, but I’m so happy.”
The two met in 2019 when Elle stopped by his tattoo shop to get a new tattoo, and got engaged in 2020.
Last year, she told People magazine about Tooker, “I had the most exciting thing I’ve ever felt. We hung out, we laughed, and then he gave me a tattoo. I posted a picture and wrote, ‘Getting my next ex-husband to tattoo me,’ and we’ve been in love ever since.”
However, in April 2023, she appeared to announce their breakup when she took to the stage at Stagecoach wearing a jacket that read “Single.” She also hinted at the breakup when she kicked off a tour called “Baby Daddy’s Weekend” in August.
