On Friday afternoon, Dubai Racing Club (DRC) shared the full transcript of Sheikh Mohammed’s message.
Sheikh Mohammed said: “We are delighted to welcome horse racing enthusiasts from all over the world to the 28th Dubai World Cup.” “With yet another series of fierce competition, the prestigious event continues the UAE’s great tradition of excellence in the sport of racing.”

Dubai World Cup was founded with a vision to create the world’s premier horse racing hub, building bridges between global markets and cultures. He added that Emirates “has provided the perfect meeting place for the global horse racing community”.
In his message, Sheikh Mohammed emphasized that the competition “reflects the UAE’s long-standing commitment to sustainability.” The UAE leader noted how it is in line with UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s decision to extend the Year of Sustainability until 2024.

“This meeting was a renewed expression of our determination to win the race to protect our planet for future generations,” he added. Sheikh Mohammed also said it was “great” that some of last year’s winners and organizers would be returning for the 2024 Dubai World Cup.
