Dubai Police has launched the “Accident-Free Summer” campaign as part of a wider effort to raise community awareness on safety and security measures against emergency situations while driving during the summer. The UAE has launched a free vehicle inspection service until the end of August in a bid to eliminate accidents amid the scorching heat.
On Monday, July 8, Dubai Police unveiled a safety campaign at X, in which a female officer highlighted what citizens should do to avail the free service. “All you have to do is visit your nearest Auto Pro across the UAE,” an officer said in the footage. Sharing the update, Dubai Police said, “For your safety, Dubai Police is offering free vehicle inspection services until the end of August. All private car owners can avail this service by visiting AutoPro centres across the UAE emirates.”

The inspection covers around 10 parameters, including air conditioning and air filters, seat belt condition, wiper blade condition, windshield washer fluid, radiator hoses, battery condition, engine oil and coolant condition, tire pressure, fluid levels, lights, etc.
In a subsequent post, the authority also stressed that while vehicle fires are more likely to occur in the summer, the risk rate can be reduced by avoiding simple things. “In summer, the risk of vehicle fires increases due to various factors, including rising temperatures and everyday items such as perfumes and phone chargers that can ignite due to high temperatures,” Dubai Police wrote.
