It went viral on TikTok after a DoorDash customer caught a driver eating his sushi order red-handed.
The video was uploaded by the TikTok account @doordashsuperstar, who shares the delivery driver’s accident. This time, the account posted a video of a woman allegedly catching a driver and eating food. In the clip, a customer films the driver sitting in a car outside an apartment complex, clutching a small plate of sushi, with his phone on her lap and the DoorDash app open.
“You’re not terrible about it. I just called you,” said the customer and called for the driver. “I also screen-recorded the whole thing because I was going to complain.”
The customer then zooms in on the driver and her alleged order, continuing: give me my food ”
When the driver hands her an empty bag, sushi, and a drink, he claims to have called her, which the customer vehemently denies. You will be prompted to repeat what was said earlier about recording the According to the customer, she gave the driver “clear directions” to the apartment “written in both English and Spanish,” and she said, “She will meet him at the front.”
The driver claims he was unable to find her apartment and that the reason he did not reply to her message was because he was “overwhelmed with the message.” He walked around the apartment complex, but he could not find her, the customer claims, “running around in circles” trying to find the driver’s car. The video concludes with her hitting the driver with questions about eating food, blaming the driver for wasting his time, and threatening to send the video to “Uber Eats or whoever” as a complaint.

The Daily Dot reached out to @doordashsuperstar via a TikTok comment and to DoorDash via a press email regarding the incident. The video had 1.9 million views of him as of Friday and many people sympathized with Driver.
“Why do I feel sick? I shouldn’t,” commented one viewer.
“I feel so sorry for him. He’s cute.”
“Indirect embarrassment is too strong,” said the third.
Others claimed they should have let the driver keep the food.
“I would have given the baby some food and got credit! I bet they must be hungrier than I am when they see this,” said one viewer .
“My toxic trait: I let him keep it because he seemed to need it. And get a refund,” echoed another.
“I don’t want food to just be eaten,” wrote a third person.
Unfortunately, it’s not uncommon for delivery drivers to eat customer orders. In January, a DoorDash driver nibbled on a customer’s burrito despite being tipped only 50 cents. In October 2022, a Grubhub customer shared how the driver ate his Taco Bell order because the driver’s boyfriend was “hungry.”
