Donald Trump responded angrily to Taylor Swift’s endorsement of his rival in the presidential election, Vice President Kamala Harris, posting on his Truth Social page, “I hate Taylor Swift!”

It’s unclear whether the focus group information or other polling prompted Swift’s response, which came five days after she fully endorsed Harris-Waltz, but it’s consistent with Trump’s approach to people he sees as his enemies.
Following a heated presidential debate in which Harris appeared to defeat Trump, Swift broke her silence on the 2024 presidential race on Tuesday, announcing her support for the Democratic nominee.

As a voter, I make it a point to watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for our country.”
She continued, “I recently learned that an AI of ‘me’ was posted on his site falsely endorsing Donald Trump for president. It really brought back my fears about AI and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It has led me to the conclusion that as a voter, I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election. The easiest way to combat misinformation is to tell the truth.”
“I intend to vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz for President in 2024,” Swift said. Follow “She’s fighting for rights and causes that I believe we need warriors to defend. I think she’s a solid and talented leader, and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we’re led by calm, not chaos. I’m very encouraged and impressed by her choice for running mate.” Tim Walzwho has stood up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and women’s rights over their own bodies for decades.”
The singer urged everyone to vote. “I did my research and I made my choice,” she said. “Your research is your responsibility and your choice is your responsibility. And I want to say, especially to those who are voting for the first time, remember that you still need to register to vote! I think it’s much easier to vote early.”
“Taylor Swift, childfree cat lady,” Swift concluded, referencing 2021 comments made by President Trump’s running mate J.D. Vance.
Swift’s support has led to more than 400,000 people registering to vote on Vote.gov. Rolling Stone.
