National Geographic recently announced its 2024 “Best of the World” list. Dolly Parton and Dollywood’s Heartsong Lodge & Resort both made the list. The iconic singer-songwriter, who was recently bestowed the nickname “Queen of Hospitality,” was named one of nine “Travelers of the Year.” This honor of hers is given to individuals who inspire us to travel and experience new and meaningful adventures.
Heartsong Lodge and Resort receives National Geographic honor
As if that accolade wasn’t enough, Dollywood’s Heartsong Lodge and Resort was also named to National Geographic’s “Worth a Trip” list. The lodge is one of only four hotels in North America to make the list, making it one of the top 22 hotels in the world in 2024. North American winners include Kona Village on the Big Island of Hawaii, Under Canvas North Yellowstone in Montana, and Hacienda in Armendariz, New Mexico.

With Heartsong Lodge and Resort part of a $500 million investment strategy and plans to grow over the next 10 years, Dollywood is likely to earn even more accolades in the future.
