Disney lovers will soon be able to use Amazon’s Alexa to bring their beloved characters into their homes or hotel rooms at Disney Resorts, according to Amazon.
The Hey Disney Experience is slated to launch later this year.
However, Amazon gave a sneak preview during a demonstration at the Consumer Electronics Show.
The Echo smart speaker voice assistant (free at select Disney Resort hotels) was built using the Alexa Custom Assistant voice AI foundation.

The voice assistant in “Disney’s Magical Companion” is the voice of Hey Disney.
The service will be available for purchase in the US Alexa Skills Store in the coming months, allowing customers to say “Hey Disney!” Experience over 20 Disney, Pixar, and Star Wars characters, hear jokes, hear soundscapes, and trivia.
Hey Disney also provides support for Disney’s MagicBand+. It is used by Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort visitors to interact with shows, enter parks, and redeem access to Lightning Lane.

Guests staying at hotels there can ask about park hours, request clean towels, and access other features.
Disney has begun installing Echo family devices with Hey Disney in select hotel rooms at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

First announced in 2021, Hey Disney will also be included in Amazon Kids+ subscriptions in the coming months.
