Monday was the third day of testimony from the ex-girlfriend of Sean “Diddy” Combs influencer.
Jane recounted the day Combs learned that his infamous 2016 video of him attacking former Cathy Ventura at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles was a hit on the internet.
According to Jane, she was at Diddy’s house in Miami when CNN posted the footage online.
Jane testified that one of Combs’ sons had broken the news to the rapper, saying “something happened.”
Jane told the court that Diddy quickly entered crisis mode with his team and family. She then gave him “space.”
She described the atmosphere as “very creepy,” adding that she “remembered that they just came up with something about a sincere apologies post or videos.”
In the now-deleted video, Combs said: “It’s very difficult to look back at the darkest times of my life. I have to do that from time to time.
In her testimony, Jane admitted that she was “overwhelmed” by Diddy’s apology.
She explained, “I felt there was no heart there.”
After the video was released, Jane and Diddy discussed the incident in June or July 2024.
She said, “He said that was the only time they had such physical violence.”
According to Jane, Diddy insisted that Ventura was “a batsman and she’d attack.”
In her testimony, Jane also recalled allegations of assault, which she suffered at Diddy’s hands a few months before her arrest.
She described the June 2024 battle as a “terrifying day.”
Towards their physical altercation, Jane asked Combs about his recent family trip while at his Los Angeles home. She said, “I started to confront Sean about who he was with on his family trip. I was assuming he was with another woman.”
Testifying that she called him a “pedophile,” Jane reveals that she had pushed his head onto a marble counter and threw candles around the house.
She said, “I think he probably cursed me and called me crazy.”
According to Jane, the fight escalates and Combs eventually kicks the toilet door where she locked herself in.
She told the court, “Shaun kicked me behind my thighs and I fell. He then came to pick me up with a chokehold and suffocated me.”
Jane testified that she escaped Diddy’s grip and was able to eventually hide in the wall outside her house.
After hours of hiding, she came out thinking that the coast was sunny, but she thought she had only met a comb.
She testified, “I punched him, and then he punched me.”
According to Jane, she punched a comb in the temple, but he punched her “around my forehead and my eyes.”
The argument continues in the backyard, where she tries to protect herself by saying “I’ve got into the ball.”
She said, “He started punching my head. He started kicking me. He started saying all sorts of things and kept punching me.”
Jane testified that he couldn’t stop there, saying, “He grabs me with my arms and hair and starts pulling me back into the house.”
According to Jane, she had two “golf ball-sized” welts on her forehead and black eyes after being allegedly assaulted.
Jane says in her testimony that Diddy told her to hide her facial injuries with makeup as there was a freak-off happening soon, and Diddy told her, “We’re not going to finish the night like this.”
She is said to have asked, “Is this forced?” when Combs offered the ecstasy pill before the freak and said, “I don’t want to.”
Combs is currently on trial and faces charges such as conspiracy, sex trafficking and transport engaged in prostitution. He denied any misconduct.
