A judge ruled Wednesday that Sean “Diddy” Combs will remain in jail until his trial. Reports deadline.
Combs was arrested Monday on charges of extortion, conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation for the purpose of prostitution. Diddy pleaded not guilty in court on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, in Thurgood Marshall Federal Court in New York, Judge Andrew Carter rejected a defense proposal to release the defendants while the trial is ongoing.
Will Didi’s Chief of Staff, known as “Ghislaine Maxwell,” become a key witness for the prosecution?

The proposal included $50 million bail, home detention with GPS monitoring, a promise not to have women visit him and regular drug testing.
“The incontrovertible evidence makes clear that we cannot simply take the defendant’s word for it,” U.S. Attorney Emily Johnson said in court.
The bail hearing was an appeal against a judge’s decision yesterday to keep Combs in custody.
