Sean “Diddy” Combs is pushing to delay the criminal trial, which is currently scheduled to begin on May 12th.
In a court letter obtained by “Extra,” Combs is seeking a two-month extension for new evidence presented by prosecutors in the latest case.
Prosecutors want to maintain court dates so there is no delay.
The documents show that the Combs defense would oppose the proposed reasonable deferral request, including a mandatory 15-year minimum count, despite continuing to generate discoveries that include count 4 findings, but will not generate today’s exhibits and witness lists, but this request will make these requests want to dive to the lowest level. It will move to court on the scheduled date.”
Didi’s lawyer argued, “This is a government-created issue, but I oppose any reasonable demands.”
Judge Arun Subramanian will make the decision Friday.
Subramanian responded to Diddy’s letter with a side note, saying, “With this Friday meeting, parties should proceed to the current schedule that includes all necessary disclosures. It has attracted the court’s attention on issues of evidence relating to victim 4. Order.”
Young Thug criminal attorney Brian Steele filed papers to join Diddy’s defense team two months after Anthony Ricco filed a motion to withdraw from the rapper’s team.
Additionally, Diddy’s team has submitted a motion requesting live footage from the ID documentary “The Fall of Diddy.”
According to his team, two of the government witnesses participated in the document.
In a federal complaint starting in September, Diddy was charged with assault, conspiracy, sex trafficking and transporting to engage in prostitution.
In January, prosecutors filed a charge claiming that Combs and his associates used his “power and fame” to blackmail the victim “by pretending to be a romantic relationship” and seducing them to engage in sexual activity.
A month later, Diddy was accused of using physical violence and forced labor against an employee in the second replacement charge.

Diddy denied any fraud.
